What Is Hydro Jetting Drain Cleaning?
Clogged and slow drains are symptoms of deeper problems. Over time, debris, soap scum, waste, and sediment build up on your drain pipe walls. With enough build-up, obstructions form that slow down or clog your drains. You can plunge as a temporary solution, but plunging doesn’t clean the build-up on the pipe walls.
Hydro jet pipe cleaning uses pressurized water jets to clear out clogs and blast away the scum and debris that builds up within your plumbing. Hydro jets even remove ingrown tree roots from sewer lines. This is the most effective, chemical-free method of addressing recurring clogged drains and restoring pipes.
The Benefits of Hydro Jet Plumbing
- Effective: Clears blocked pipes and clogged drains.
- Environmentally-Friendly: Effective without harsh chemicals.
- Preventative: Clears residue that can lead to future clogs.
- Cost-Effective: Reduces potential future plumbing issues.
Do I Need Hydro Jetting?
Applewood’s technicians often begin with a video inspection before hydro-jetting your pipes. We’ll examine the interior to determine the size and location of the obstruction and whether high-pressure sewer cleaning is a good option. If older pipes are too frail to withstand the pressure, we’ll consider alternatives.
Once we identify where to start jetting, we feed the nozzle down into your pipes until we reach each area we need to clean or unclog. Hydro jet nozzles can release water streams at up to 4,000 psi of high-concentrated pressure. A licensed technician from a professional hydro jetting company, like Applewood, can manually angle and control the pressure and direction as needed. Finally, we may perform a follow-up camera inspection to ensure we’ve successfully cleared everything away.
